How a Colorado operator automates scheduling and scorecards

The existing scheduler was dense, hard to use, and did not provide a usable export for the workflow. Clave connected to it in days, so managers can build schedules and scorecards from their phones without replacing the system.

15+ hours
saved every week on labor scheduling
500+
data points consolidated per scorecard

Before Clave

The scheduler buried a simple staffing question inside a wall of cells.

Managers were staring at a dense grid of names, hours, availability, time-off blocks, and shift notes. It was hard to scan, difficult to use from a phone, and did not give the team a usable export for the work they needed to do. Nobody wanted to rebuild another week inside it.

The same scorecard problem stretched across 18 different views. Someone still had to pull sales, labor, Olo, prior-year comparisons, and operating data, then clean and reconcile everything before a manager could act.

The setup

Clave connected to the scheduler in days, so managers no longer have to fight its interface.

The tool already held the schedules and constraints. Replacing it would have meant another migration and another round of retraining. Clave left it in place, connected to it, and learned each shop's availability, time off, coverage rules, and labor targets.

Now a manager asks from a phone. Clave builds the schedule, checks the constraints, and writes the answer back into the existing system. The team keeps the tool that is already connected without forcing managers to work through the grid.

With Clave

Managers ask from their phones and act in seconds.

Clave gathers and reconciles more than 500 data points for each scorecard, explains what is driving performance, and gives the manager a decision-ready view.

The same phone workflow can build a schedule, check coverage and availability, compare options, and revise the labor plan. More than 15 hours of scheduling work comes out of the week.

Clave automates our scheduling and scorecards, so my managers start with the work already done and use their time to make the call.

The workflow

Scheduling coverage now handles itself

Clave checks the scheduler every morning, fills coverage inside the labor guardrails, notifies the team, and escalates only the gaps it cannot resolve.
